Care for Some Pampering?

Who doesn’t want to be pampered?

Have you ever splurged on a health and wellness session or product? And you did it because you listened to a little voice inside of you saying, “Come on, just this once. You deserve it. It’s not everyday you get to treat yourself this way.”

In Filipino, “Minsan lang naman ‘to. Deserve mo ‘yan.”

You’ve probably been there. You went all out: mani, pedi, facial, hair, body scrub, massage, and a lunch buffet to cap it all. Now, that’s major pampering.

Don’t you know that attending big gatherings such as our upcoming Canada District Conference IS a major SPA (Spiritual Place of Accord) spiritual pampering? YES! And you don’t want to miss it!

Big events such as our upcoming Triple Treat Events – Edmonton Building Inauguration, 13th MBSI North America Extension Graduation, and the 18th Canada District Conference – are major soul-care engagements offering tons of SPA opportunities!

Here are some of the spiritual health benefits of big events:

Mutual edification. In big events, we become a blessing and we are blessed by others (Hebrews 10:24-25).

Exposure to excellent programs. In big events, everything is bigger and better. Attention to detail is more evident. And we come away awed, inspired, and proud to be a Fourth Watcher (Philippians 4:8-9).

Exercise of ministry or gifts. In big events, we get to serve using our talents and individual gifts. There’s always blessings in serving others (1 Peter 4:10-11).

Fellowship with our church leaders. This particular event will be graced by many of our church leaders – members of the Apostle’s Council, Presbyters, District Coordinators, and our very own Deputy Executive Minister Himself.

Most of all, a buffet of God’s Word. In big events, God speaks more loudly and the Holy Spirit moves more powerfully. That’s why major spiritual decisions are made in big events, such as entering the ministry full time. Why is that? Because there’s extraordinary power in big events.

So, why don’t you give yourself this major spiritual splurge?

Remember, SPA is about entering God’s presence, and wherever God’s people are gathered, there, God will be also. So attending fellowships is a form of entering the sanctuary of God.

Asaph says in Psalm 73:17, “I entered the sanctuary of God.”

“I entered,” not, “I was made to enter.”

He exercised his will power to enter. It is the same thing with us. We need to exercise our will to attend. We need to exercise our faith. If there’s a will, there’s a way!

As in physical pampering, there is a steep price to pay in attending big events. Of course. However, the spiritual benefits are beyond the worth of the cost. I want to remind you that Christ paid a dear price, in fact, the ultimate cost to make God’s sanctuary accessible to us all (Ephesians 2:18).

Wouldn’t you endure to enter God’s sanctuary? Wouldn’t you sacrifice to be with God’s people? Wouldn’t you splurge for this major spiritual soul-care event coming up? Listen to the Holy Spirit’s voice.

Your soul needs it. Your spirit is crying out for it. And most of all, God is waiting to care for you. God wants to comfort you. God cannot wait to pamper you.

See you there!
