Introduction
Hello, everyone! How are you all?
After nearly four weeks of hiatus, I’m back to connect and minister to all of you through this platform. I have been sick and I’m only in my first week of bodily soundness since I went down with a mean flu a few weeks ago.
Well, I praise God for the healing, and I thank you for all your prayers, and I’m back with exciting news!
As you know, today is the first day of March 2024! Can you believe it? I know. I can hardly, too.
Well, it is the first day of March today and I know we are all busy preparing for the March events, namely the Inauguration of the Edmonton House of Worship, the 13th MBSI Graduation, and the 18th Canada District Convention.
However, I want to tell you that two significant events in Christianity are also taking place this month – the commemorations of the death and the resurrection of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ many call as the Twin Events.
This month of March, therefore, is one of the best times to ponder upon the love of God for us. Personally, the Lenten Season always draws me into solemn musings and reflections. The passion, death, and resurrection of the Lord take a very special space in my heart and mind, as do all serious and faithful believers of the Lord.
That is why I know we could all benefit from embarking on a month-long daily devotions centering on the very death and resurrection of our Lord. My goal is to help you reflect on the beautiful themes of our Lord’s death and resurrection, thereby gaining deeper insight on the Twin Events’ significance and implications on our faith.
I am basing this month-long devotional on the work that came as a result of my month-long morning devotion messages centering on the same Twin Events in March 2021.
In this month-long daily devotions, each week we will be guided by five major themes surrounding the Twin Events:
Week 1: Suffering
Week 2: Death
Week 3: Resurrection
Week 4: Glorification
Week 5: Mission
Everyday within each week, we will be looking into sub-themes that relate with the theme of that week. We will start tomorrow and we will finish our special Lenten Season devotions on March 31, 2024.
It is my hope and prayer that through this project we will be able to understand deeper the love of God for us expressed through His giving of His Son. Through our Lord Jesus Christ we have become so blessed beyond measure.
Let us enter into the Spiritual Place of Accord devoting a few minutes of reading time. I hope you will join me in this journey. We shall begin tomorrow! Praise the Lord!
