Plan, Pray, and be at Peace

A blessed New Year to everyone!

I have a puzzle for you all: What year is the last year of the first quarter of the twenty-first century? Write your answer in the comments section.

I’m sure with extra effort you’ll be able to provide the right answer to the question above. But what I am not sure about is the answer to the question: How will this year pan out? What does the year 2025 have in store?

We can plan, prepare, and predict. We can plot, propose, and project. But the truth remains that we can never be sure if things will go according to our plans.

There is one, however, who knows everything, even the future. In fact to Him there is no future. Everything is a grand present as far as He is concerned. He knows and He sees everything. There’s nothing that could ever surprise Him. He’s no other than our Heavenly Father.

Isn’t it great to know we have a father who knows the future? A father whose plans for us are nothing but good?

He says in Jeremiah 29:11, “‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.’”

Therefore, although we may not know for sure what will transpire in the coming days, weeks, and months of 2025, we can be rest assured that we will always be secure in the loving and gracious hands of our Father in Heaven. But of course, that doesn’t mean that we will not plan anymore. We still need to do our part, and that is to make plans that are according to His will. And we need to pray for those plans that we make, so that God may give us understanding, anointing, and discernment.

James 4:13, says,

Now listen, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go to this or that city, spend a year there, carry on business and make money.” Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes. Instead, you ought to say, “If it is the Lord’s will, we will live and do this or that.” As it is, you boast in your arrogant schemes. All such boasting is evil. If anyone, then, knows the good they ought to do and doesn’t do it, it is sin for them.

That is why I’d like to take this opportunity to encourage you to employ the Spiritual Place of Accord Planner 2025 in your planning for 2025, not only for personal, business, or educational purposes, but most importantly for spiritual growth purposes.

Through the help of the planner, I am encouraging you all to develop a devotional life. This is also called personal retreat with the Lord or quiet time. I read from an author that the daily quiet time is like a shower or bath time. As we engage in personal time with God, we are washed and refreshed spiritually so that we are kept from the moral corruption that so abounds around us.

Apostle Jonathan once said that our late Apostle and Goodman of the House’s faith in private was so vibrant and alive. That is why he would often just burst into a song, or retreat into a corner and read his Bible. I also observe this same trait from our beloved Evangelist Leticia Ferriol.

A devotional life is also what our Apostle Jonathan longs for us to have. You can read his earnest admonition towards personal retreat with the Lord or quiet time in his foreword in the SPA 2025 Planner. As we draw near to God through bible reading, reflection, and journaling, God will also draw near to us. As we open ourselves up to Him, He will heal us, enlighten our hearts and minds, uplift us from life’s burdens, and guide us through this life.

I pray that as we plan, prepare, and plot for the year 2025, God will make His grace abound in us. I am confident that God will always see us through. Just as He made us overcomers in the year 2024, He will once again bless this year for us all.

Once again, a blessed 2025 to everyone!

Reflection: What are your plans for your faith and service for this year? What makes you confident that you will be alright this year?

    The answer is 2001 + 25 – 1 = 2025
Thank you po Ptr. Gen for today’s devotional. What I aspire to develop and to put more effort into the new year is to give myself time to pause and reflect. I couldn’t wait to finally start using my SPA planner which will serve as my guide to have the daily intimate moments with God and to reflect on His words. Also will serve me to be more organized, to be more intentional with my actions and relationships. To live with purpose and gratitude while embracing the present moment. I want to focus on aligning my daily life with my Christian values and allowing space for spiritual growth and self-awareness. Happy new year ❤️🎉
