We are living in a rapidly changing and highly secular world where knowing and remaining faithful to the biblical principles of womanhood—and a woman’s role within the family—can be challenging. As we wait for our blessed hope, the rapture of the church, women of God must stand strong against the enticing influences and attractions of the world.
We thank and praise God that in the Pentecostal Missionary Church of Christ (4th Watch), biblical and apostolic teachings are faithfully proclaimed. Here, women are guided and modeled according to God’s biblical design for womanhood and their role within the family, while also being encouraged to grow spiritually, serve in ministry, and take part in leadership.
God’s design for womanhood is set forth in Genesis 1:27, where we see that God created both man and woman in His image. This truth establishes a woman’s dignity, value, and purpose. Women, therefore, were not created to be inferior to men; rather, they were designed to be partners and helpers—those who complement, enhance, and “crown” their husbands.
There are some who relegate women to subordination by emphasizing verses such as Ephesians 5:22–24, where wives are told to submit themselves to their husbands. Submission in this context does not mean being under autocratic subjugation; rather, it is a mindful relinquishing of a wife’s rights in recognition of the spiritual leadership of her husband. God does not intend for husbands to dominate their wives in a self-serving way. Instead, a husband is called to be a servant-leader over his wife and household, just as Christ is to the church.
Created by God with dignity, value, and purpose, women in the Pentecostal Missionary Church of Christ (4th Watch) are taught to value spiritual growth over worldly and carnal pursuits. Faith, character, wisdom, and devotion to God take precedence over achievements, status, and outward physical appearance.
1 Samuel 16:7 teaches that, unlike humans who judge by outward appearance, God looks inwardly—into the moral and spiritual life of individuals. Because of this, women are encouraged to grow in their personal walk with God through Bible reading, personal devotions, meditation on the Word of God, reflection and journaling, and prayer.
While many women in the world pursue fleeting things such as beauty and outward appearance, godly women prioritize growth in their faith and in their personal relationship with Christ.

Designed by God as creatures with their own volition, women in the church are blessed with many open doors of opportunity to exercise and develop their ministry and leadership potential. As God the Father is the head of Christ, and Christ is the head of the church—of which women are also a part—women submit to Christ by making Him Lord over the gifts and talents that He Himself has given them.
It is therefore no surprise that within the church there are women who serve among the Apostolic Council and Cabinet. There are also a number of District Coordinators who are women, and a large portion of ministers and elders are women as well.
As Christ is the head of Apostle Jonathan S. Ferriol, the women in the church—together with all the other members of Christ’s church—must recognize the headship of Apostle Jonathan over the church. In this way, the church, which is the body of Christ, is built up as the gifts and proclivities of all individuals are harnessed for the edification and perfection of the church.
The world—and even the church—may have gone through many changes, but the biblical precepts of womanhood will never change. Women are created equal with men and are meant to model submission to their husbands as the church submits to Christ. At the same time, they are allowed to flourish as the volitional and creative beings God designed them to be, for the purpose of glorifying Him, building up their families, and edifying the believers.
May all godly women pursue these timeless and beautiful truths rather than the lies the enemy spreads about women—that appearance, status, and achievements are what truly matter. All these things, along with outward beauty, will fade. But a godly and honourable woman will leave an eternal imprint, and she is truly blessed.
