From Genesis to Glory

By: Ptr. Gen Concepcion

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
– Jeremiah 29:11

Another year has dawned upon us, and our hearts are filled with gratitude to our God. The year 2025 brought many accomplishments, but I believe my greatest achievement was reading the entirety of the Bible. I set my heart and mind to this goal, and God faithfully enabled me to complete it. To Him be all the praise.

As I waited for the Watch Night Service to begin last night, I read the final chapters listed in the SPA planner’s reading schedule. Once again, I was deeply moved by the beauty and power of God’s Word.

How fitting that the final chapter of the final book of the Bible declares the undoing of the curse first introduced in Genesis. Revelation 22:3 declares, “No longer will there be any curse.” What a profoundly hopeful promise.

As we begin a new chapter in our walk with God, may we look forward with confidence to the glorious future we have in Christ. We do not know what 2026 will bring, and undoubtedly there will be trials and challenges along the way. Yet we hold firmly to this truth: Christ has already secured the victory for us. May we serve Him with renewed fervor, walking in love, obedience to our leaders, and sincere care for one another.

Congratulations Pastor Genalyn for being able to finish reading the whole Bible. You had mentioned of book of Genesis which curse afflicted the Egyptian. In Revelation proclaimed that there’s a victory and curse had been removed. I have a question in my mind of those sicknesses like cancer considered a curse in our time?
