Being A 4th Watcher: A Calling Worth Celebrating

by Sis Abigail Bico

Reading for the day: 1 Peter 2:9-10

Yesterday, 4th Watchers all over the world celebrated the opening of our 4th Watchers month.
This kick-started a month-long of festivities that will empower and uplift our calling as God’s true church in the End-time. Times like this remind me of how blessed and proud I am to be a 4th Watcher.

Celebrating our identity

In a generation where people are often confused about their identity, being a 4th watcher was something I always knew I was. I give credit to the apostolic teachings that have been passed on by our leaders, and that were taught to me even at a young age. From my time as a cadet, and even till now as a minister, it has always been clear and straightforward what being a 4th watcher was all about, and I thank God it is still who I am today.

Celebrating our culture

My appreciation for this identity stems from our rich culture. Patterned by the early church, passed on and exemplified by our late apostle, the Goodman of the House, and now being continued by our living apostle, Apostle Jonathan S. Ferriol, this culture has shaped the PMCC (4th Watch) to what it is today.

Culture can only truly survive when it is being taught and passed on to the next generation. I have felt this burden even more as we have recently concluded our Vacation Bible School here in Lethbridge. This program catered to our Firebrands and KW4C was more than an activity to fill in their summer break, but it was among the many programs and initiatives of the Church to shape the future generation of 4th Watchers.

It is why I salute and thank every teacher, mentor, pastor, and our beloved Apostle Jonathan, who have taken the role to teach the future generation of 4th Watchers. Your investment in the children and youths has resulted in keeping the culture of the church alive!

In light of celebrating our culture, let us pass on the 4th Watch culture in any way that we can. If you are a parent, see to it that your children are involved in the church programs and activities especially this summer. Be an example to them, encourage them, invest in them! They are the future of the Church!

Celebrating our future

Speaking of the future, this 4th watchers month is not only to celebrate what God has done, but it’s also to celebrate what God is about to do in His Church. As we are in this Season of Expansion, the church is being ushered to a greater and excellent service.
This program has been an aid to grow our churches by winning more, praying more and building more.

Although these spiritual disciplines aren’t new to us, we are being led to do MORE of this as the church is being led, not only to our Season of Expansion, but also a Season of Revival. This is what we are claiming and this is what is about to happen!

Happy 4th Watchers Month!

Reflection: What are you looking forward to this 4th Watchers Month? What makes you proud to be a 4th Watcher?
